1. What cookies are
1.1 Cookies are small text files that visited websites send to the user's device, where they are stored to be sent back to the website on each subsequent visit.
1.2 Together with cookies, other identifiers may operate which obtain or store information in the user's terminal ("tracking tools"). This policy applies to all such tools.
2. Types of cookies used on www.smoves.it
2.1 The following cookies / tracking tools may be used on www.smoves.it:
technical cookies (necessary);
analytics cookies (with a configuration that may make them assimilated to technical ones, where the conditions of the Italian Data Protection Authority are met, or, alternatively, subject to consent);
profiling and/or third-party cookies (only with prior express consent).
3. Technical cookies
3.1 Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the user.
3.2 For technical cookies, the user's prior consent is not required, pursuant to art. 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.
3.3 Among the technical cookies used: session cookies, authentication cookies, security cookies, checkout operation cookies (including via Stripe), cookies to store preferences on cookies.
4. Analytics cookies
4.1 Analytics cookies are used to collect information on the use of the site by users, in aggregated form, in order to improve its operation.
4.2 Smoves uses analytics in a configuration such as to: (i) anonymise the IP address; (ii) limit the sharing of data with the provider; (iii) exclude crossing with other information or use for profiling purposes. Under such conditions, analytics may be assimilated to technical cookies, pursuant to the Decision of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021.
4.3 If analytics do not comply with all the conditions referred to in point 4.2, installation is subject to the user's consent, collected via the banner referred to in art. 6.
5. Profiling and third-party cookies
5.1 As of now, no own profiling cookies or third-party cookies for marketing or behavioural advertising purposes are used on www.smoves.it.
5.2 Should Smoves in the future intend to use profiling or third-party cookies, it will provide information through an update of this policy and will collect the user's express consent via the banner.
6. Cookie banner and preference management
6.1 Upon first access to the site, a banner is shown to the user in compliance with the Decision of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021, which informs about the cookies used and allows the user to:
accept all cookies;
reject all non-technical cookies;
customise their choices by category of cookies.
6.2 The user may at any time modify their preferences through the dedicated "Cookie settings" link, accessible from the footer of the site.
6.3 The user may also manage cookies through the settings of their browser. Please note that disabling technical cookies may compromise the proper functioning of the site.
7. Storage and duration
7.1 The duration of the cookies used varies depending on their type. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed; persistent cookies have a specified maximum duration, normally not exceeding 12 months, except in cases where technical reasons justify different durations.
7.2 The consent given by the user is not requested again within 6 months from its last manifestation, except in case of substantial changes in the conditions of processing.
